How many times can you subtract 6 from 2?
"How many times can you subtract 6 from 2?" is a tricky question. We think that there are three different answers to this question.
Answer 1: Once
It is once, because after you subtract 6 from 2 once, you are left with -4. Thus, you cannot subtract 6 again from 2.
Answer 2: 0.33 times
0.33 times, because 2 divided by 6 is 0.33. After you subtract 6, 0.33 times from 2, then there is nothing left to subtract from.
Answer 3: Infinite
There is nothing that says you can't keep subtracting 6 from 2 indefinitely. Just because you will end up with negative numbers doesn't mean you have to stop subtracting!
