How many times can you subtract 4 from 6?

"How many times can you subtract 4 from 6?" is a tricky question. We think that there are three different answers to this question.

Answer 1: Once
It is once, because after you subtract 4 from 6 once, you are left with 2. Thus, you cannot subtract 4 again from 6.

Answer 2: 1.5 times
1.5 times, because 6 divided by 4 is 1.5. After you subtract 4, 1.5 times from 6, then there is nothing left to subtract from.

Answer 3: Infinite
There is nothing that says you can't keep subtracting 4 from 6 indefinitely. Just because you will end up with negative numbers doesn't mean you have to stop subtracting!
