What is 9 times greater than 6?

54 is greater than 9 x 6.

But that is not true. 54 is not greater than 9 x 6. It is the same!

(9 + 1) x 6 = 60

But if that is the case, why not simply say "What is 10 times 6?" instead of saying "times greater than?"
