What is 4 times greater than 5?

4 times greater than 5 seems easy enough, but is it?

Let's assume the answer = 20 (since 4 x 5 = 20). Then shouldn't this statement be true?:

20 is greater than 4 x 5.

But that is not true. 20 is not greater than 4 x 5. It is the same!

To make it greater, we could make make a formula like (a+1)b where a=4 and b=5 to get this answer:

(4 + 1) x 5 = 25

But if that is the case, why not simply say "What is 5 times 5?" instead of saying "times greater than?"
