What is 20 times greater than 16?

320 is greater than 20 x 16.

But that is not true. 320 is not greater than 20 x 16. It is the same!

(20 + 1) x 16 = 336

But if that is the case, why not simply say "What is 21 times 16?" instead of saying "times greater than?"
