What is 10 times greater than 6?

10 times greater than 6 seems easy enough, but is it?

Let's assume the answer = 60 (since 10 x 6 = 60). Then shouldn't this statement be true?:

60 is greater than 10 x 6.

But that is not true. 60 is not greater than 10 x 6. It is the same!

To make it greater, we could make make a formula like (a+1)b where a=10 and b=6 to get this answer:

(10 + 1) x 6 = 66

But if that is the case, why not simply say "What is 11 times 6?" instead of saying "times greater than?"
