What is 10 times greater than 15?

10 times greater than 15 seems easy enough, but is it?

Let's assume the answer = 150 (since 10 x 15 = 150). Then shouldn't this statement be true?:

150 is greater than 10 x 15.

But that is not true. 150 is not greater than 10 x 15. It is the same!

To make it greater, we could make make a formula like (a+1)b where a=10 and b=15 to get this answer:

(10 + 1) x 15 = 165

But if that is the case, why not simply say "What is 11 times 15?" instead of saying "times greater than?"
